Karl Buehler has over 30 years of corporate and consulting experience in all areas of compensation, both nationally and internationally, including base compensation, bonus, incentive, and stock programs.

Karl has consulted with small, medium, and large global corporations in manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, electronics, energy, financial services, banking, insurance, retail stores, and non-profit organizations.

In 1969 Karl began his career in compensation with Hay Associates, a worldwide management consulting firm, as a compensation consultant. In 1981 he joined CIGNA Corporation, a large diversified international financial services company as Director of Compensation and Systems. Over the years his positions included Director of Incentive and Bonus Programs and Assistant Vice President in Corporate Compensation.

Karl has extensive experience in job analysis and evaluations (including development of job evaluation systems); development of salary structures; competitive analysis and compensation positioning; development of company-wide cash, bonus and stock plans, and function specific incentive plans (sales, insurance underwriting and marketing, investment professionals); development of compensation survey vehicles and management of total survey cycle (including publication of results); merger-related compensation activities; and development of salary and incentive programs for investment professionals in London, Tokyo, Sydney, and Santiago, Chile.

An honors graduate of The Wharton School of Business and Finance, University of Pennsylvania, Karl has a degree in Business Administration and Marketing.
